The 2019 Neuroscience Olympics

Promoted by the Italian Neuroscience Society, the 2019 Neuroscience Olympics saw the participation of over 220 high schools, for a total of 5,500 students from 18 Italian regions. EBRI participated in Olympics for the Lazio region, in collaboration with the University of Rome “Sapienza”. The competition, which was held in Rome on 16 March was divided into various tests: a crossword puzzle with definitions related to Neuroscience (divided in teams), identification of structure of the nervous system in anatomical tables, games regarding memory and attention, true/false questions. The top three winners, Paolo Migliori (Liceo G. Galilei, Civitavecchia), Alexandra Popa (Liceo De Santis, Rome) and Matteo Rossi (Liceo Peano, Monterotondo) participated in the national competition which was held in Pisa on 3-4 May.
