European Brain Research Institute Rita Levi-Montalcini

EBRI is located within the campus of the Sapienza University of Rome. The EBRI research laboratories and facilities are dedicated to studying and understanding important biological processes in the field of neuroscience.

The 13 research groups at EBRI focus on specific aspects of basic research and translational research in neuroscience, using cutting-edge methodologies and multidisciplinary approaches such as molecular and cellular biology, neurophysiology, advanced imaging, optogenetics, computational and bioinformatics analysis, and behavior.

EBRI has a core staff of about 60 people, including scientists, technicians, and administrative personnel, in addition to PhD students.

The relocation at EBRI was made possible thanks to the generosity of its supporting members, which enabled EBRI to restructure the Institute’s new premises:
