The use of live brain tissue donated from patients with epilepsy, to study the origin of the disease and to test new therapeutic treatments. A new promising research frontier opens up in Italy for the first time at the Ospedale Pediatrico Gambino Gesù, thanks to the donation from the Giulio and Giovanna Sacchetti Foundation, in collaboration with EBRI and a laboratory dedicated to the study of human brain tissues through innovative technologies.
