On 18-19 June researchers from EBRI, the McGill University in Montréal (Canada) and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel) participated in the 1st Joint Symposium to discuss recent developments in neurodegenerative diseases. The symposium was held at the Montreal Neurological Institute (University of Montreal), in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Ottowa.

The symposium focused on research in the development and dysfunction of neural circuits, mechanisms of neurodegeneration, and learning, memory and behavior. Collaboration opportunities and ways to implement steps to share expertise between the three institutions were also discussed
