Brijesh Modi, dottorando nel laboratorio del Prof. Enrico Cherubini all’EBRI, ha ricevuto la prestigiosa borsa di studio EMBO al Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour (Radboud University) nei Paesi Bassi, dove imparerà nuove tecniche di elettrofisiologia. Il suo obiettivo sarà quello di studiare il comportamento sociale nei topi, comprendere come gli stimoli sociali siano codificati nell’ippocampo, e come le alterazioni di questo processo durante lo sviluppo del sistema nervoso possano causare i disturbi dello spettro autistico.

Brijesh Modi, a PhD student in the lab of Prof. Enrico Cherubini at EBRI, has received the prestigious EMBO fellowship at Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour (Radboud University) in Netherlands, where he will learn new electrophysiogical techniques. His goal is to investigate social behaviour in mice, to understand how social stimuli are encoded in hippocampus and how this process is altered in neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorders.
