Rita Levi-Montalcini Lecture 2016

On 17 October 2016 the Rita Levi-Montalcini Lecture was delivered by Mario Capecchi (University of Utah, USA), Nobel Laureate for the discovery of a technique which allowed a specific gene to be turned on and off in mice, a method which opened new doors to gene therapy. The Lecture entitled “Modeling neuropsychiatric disorders in the mouse” was followed by an International Workshop on “Gene Targeting and New Frontiers in Neuroscience”. Eminent scientists from different parts of the world participated at the event.
