Brain Forum

EBRI has participated and contributed to the organization of the exciting BRAIN FORUM events. The aim of these international symposia is to the gather the most renowned researcher in the field of neuroscience in order to facilitate exchange of knowledge and promote awareness on the advancement of brain research.

The first BRAIN FORUM entitled “The Brain Revolution” was launched in Rome in 2010 by Viviana Kasam, founder of Brain Forum and President of Brain Circle Italia, on the occasion of Rita Levi-Montalcini’s 101st birthday.

The second edition of BRAIN FORUM 2011 entitled “The color of thought” was also dedicated to Levi-Montalcini, whose studies on NGF are opening new perspectives for the treatment of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, and to Camillo Golgi, who discovered the revolutionary method of staining nerve cells. The event, held in Milan on the 4th and 5th of April, was organized in two days; the first day dedicated to the new frontiers in understanding the biological basis for the cognitive capacities of the brain, and the second day dedicated to Alzheimer’s disease.
